The Design Hive gets a Twitter Boost from Theo Paphitis!!
The Design Hive, Somerset celebrates becoming an official #sbs (Small Business Sunday) winner.
The Design Hive receives a business boost from Retail Entrepreneur Theo Paphitis. Melanie Downing, owner of The Design Hive in Highbridge, tweeted Theo about her business during ‘Small Business Sunday’ and was one of six weekly winners to gain a retweet by Theo to his 505,000 Twitter followers. The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has over 2000 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK.
Business and retail entrepreneur and self-confessed Shopkeeper, Theo re‐tweeted The Design Hive’s message to his 505,000 followers and as a result, www.thedesignhive.co.uk has 100 more followers in the past 24 hours and extra orders for their branding, graphic design and website design services. They are also profiled on the #SBS website (www.theopaphitissbs.com) that is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.
Melanie Downing said, “We’ve had an incredible year. 14 months ago, The Design Hive moved premises and to Walrow Industrial Estate in Highbridge. We are located inside a signage company called Quicksign. Our services blend perfectly, which allows us to design signage and vehicle liveries and watch them come to life. We took on our first member of staff a year ago, Tash Wynn, a senior designer, who came to us from a large design agency in Bristol. Two months ago, we were shortlisted for the Somerset Business Awards, which we are incredibly proud of. We are completely dedicated to the business, pushing the boundaries and going above and beyond for our customers. It is great to have support from Theo as he has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his following. Thank you to all our customers and Twitter supporters for helping us achieve our milestones.”
Small business champion and Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue Chairman, Theo Paphitis, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK. My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings. The website and Shop #SBS will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish The Design Hive every success.”
#SBS Winners now also have access to the exclusive members’ selling platform www.shopsbs.co.uk where hundreds of winners are already selling thousands of products. It is another opportunity for the #SBS winners to turn tweets into sales.
We are delighted to be invited to the annual #SBS networking event on February 23rd to take advantage of the networking opportunities and collect our official winners certificate from Theo Paptitis.
