The Design Hive was given the opportunity to re-brand these two companies. We weren’t given a specific criteria for the brief, just details about the companies and their history. We always welcome the opportunity to be given complete control over the design.
The first task was to start sketching ideas for the logo designs. We presented the customer with four different draft logo ideas and they went down a storm, with one being selected as a firm favourite. As these two companies are linked, our mission was to create two logos that were essentially the same design, but had an element that would distinguish them apart. We also selected colours that would differentiate them. As you can see from the two design, we used the ‘F’ for Fosters (and also reflected it) as the main element. There is a symbol of a house to represent mortgage services and a heart symbol to represent life insurance.
The next stage was to create the business cards, letterheads and compliment slips continuing with the professional corporate style of the logo. With styles, colours and fonts chosen, this then completed the branding.
We were then asked to produce A3 and A4 posters, an A6 postcard and advert for the life insurance services and a swing sign for the mortgage services.
We thoroughly enjoyed working on this project with our client and continue to make ongoing updates to their artwork on a regular basis.
We were also commissioned tnd clean look with eao design and build a new website for the Fosters Life side of the business. The website has a professional asy navigation and follows the Fosters Life branding.
